Super Science Lab (SSL) presents a study of The Rainforest on May 7. The naturalist at Hidden Oaks Family Storytime, co-sponsored by the Bolingbrook Park District, will feature Wildflowers as the topic on May 14. Barnes & Noble at Bolingbrook Promenade sends us a special visitor, Skippyjon Jones, at the May 21 Drop-in Storytime. Create a fun craft all day at Make-It Take-It, May 28.
Weekly drop-in storytimes run through May 18. All ages love All Together on Monday mornings. Diez deditos (Ten Little Fingers) invites children ages 2 – 6, their siblings and parents, to Monday evenings of bilingual stories and songs! Families gather again on Tuesday evenings for Family Storytime.
Other fun stuff families can do are: play board games anytime – give us your library card at the desk and get the gaming pieces – and come to a special Family Gaming Day with traditional games in the afternoon on May 21!
Preschool programs give our younger patrons a chance to meet at the library for all kinds of exciting stuff to do! Preschool Activity Time on May 13 in our carpeted meeting room is a time for kids to play to their hearts’ content! At Arts & Fables children start out in the Storytime Room for a tale and then go to the Creativity Park to make a project! Then they can make the coolest structures with colorful blocks and little people at Preschool Build It!
School-agers have a terrific time at the library, also! At Build It! on May 5, they can use our blocks and their imaginations to design buildings, vehicles, whatever they want! Budding authors home their literary skills at Young Writers’ Club on May 10. Future chess champions gather for competition at Chess Club on May 18.
