We have plenty of free programs while students are out of school April 9-13!

1st through 3rd graders can sign up for a Computer Class at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.  April 9 is also the last day to turn in an entry for the Peeps diorama contest.

Kids in kindergarten through 5th grade can sign up for our big Adventure on the Titanic on Tuesday and travel back to 1912 with trivia and games.  Young audience members will act as Titanic travelers while they learn about the ship and what happened.  Vintage costumes and appearance encouraged!  (You can find some pictures of passengers by searching the Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Online Catalog.)

Wednesday, come to one of our Build It! programs.  We will have DUPLO blocks for ages 2 to 5 and LEGO bricks for kindergarteners through 5th graders.

Thursday we’re showing two Spring Break Movies: Pete’s Dragon in the morning at 10:30 and The Mighty Ducks in the afternoon at 2:00.  Tweens can also sign up for Art for Thought that afternoon, and everyone can check out the Peeps Diorama Contest Display and vote for the Peeple’s Choice Award.

Friday we’re offering Spring Break Wii Gaming for all ages from 2:30-4:30 in the afternoon.

You do not need to register for Build It!, movies, or gaming.  You can register for the other programs at the Children’s Services desk, over the phone, or online.
