Saturday, December 22
Make-It Take-It!
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and
2:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Make a craft and take it home.
All ages can come, and you can drop in without registering.

The library will be closed December 24 and 25.

Wednesday, December 26
Winter in the Parks: Build It!
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 and
2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
Children ages 2 to 5 can bring a grown-up and build with DUPLO blocks.  Children in kindergarten through grade 5 can build with LEGO blocks (Kindergarteners, please bring an adult).  You can drop in without registering.

Winter in the Parks: Monarch Award Read-in
From 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., hear The Big Fat Cow That Goes Kapow; Night Flight: Amelia Earhart Crosses the Atlantic; Blackout; and The Circus Ship.
From 11:00 a.m. to noon, hear Ant and Grasshopper; That Cat Can’t Stay!; Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes; Even Monsters Need Haircuts; and A Sick Day for Amos McGee.
From 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., hear Frankie Pickle and the Closet of Doom; We Are in a Book; Clemente; The Cazuela That the Farm Maiden Stirred.
From 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., hear Lulu and the Brontosaurus; Bink and Gollie.
From 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., hear How Rocket Learned to Read; Pop: The Invention of Bubble Gum; Lousy Rotten Stinkin’ Grapes; Where in the Wild? and Art & Max.
Each of these reading times is open to all ages, especially member of the Monarch Online Reading Club!  Preschoolers, please bring an adult.

Friday, December 28
Winter in the Parks: Family Activity Time
2:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Drop in and play both electronic and traditional games in the Meeting Room!  All ages can come, but preschoolers must bring an adult.  You do not need to register.

Saturday, December 29
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Winter in the Parks: Board Games
All ages can drop in to play board games from the Children’s Services collection.
2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Winter in the Parks: Open Play Chess
Experienced chess players of all ages can drop by for friendly matches on our chess boards.

The library will be closed December 31 and January 1.  We’ll reopen with more special programs in the new year!
