Did you know you can check out a Nook HD Tablet from the library?  The Children’s Services Department has six Nooks to check out (there are also Nooks available in the Vortex, at the Adult Services desks, and on the Bookmobile).  The children’s nooks come preloaded with more than 100 books and apps for toddlers through elementary school students.  Interested?  Here’s how to get ready to check one out:

  • Have a Fountaindale library card.
  • Sign a waiver
  • If a child will be checking out a Nook without a parent present, make sure the child’s card is linked to the card of a parent or guardian.

Out staff can show you how to get started using a Nook if you’ve never used one before.  You can also place a Nook on hold, so if all of them are checked out we can save one for you when it is returned.
