Magic School Bus Week

Looking for some fun during Spring Break?  Come to the library for our Magic School Bus Week for activities exploring science fun and other STEM concepts.

The Magic School Bus and the Science Fair Expedition
To kick off the week we will be hosting a Magic School Bus Celebration.  Drop in on Monday, April 6th for this Frizztastic event.  Dress like your favorite character, come try out our science tables set up with experiments, so a fun craft, and play Magic School Bus Trivia!  This program is for children in grades K-5; kindergartners must be with an adult.  The event will be from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. in our Meeting Room A.

On Tuesday, April 7th we will be introducing a new program called iMake.  This is your chance to come try out the library’s newest technologies which include:

This program will be in the Creativity Park from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and is for children in grades K-5; kindergartners must be with an adult.

Put on your pajamas Tuesday evening and come to our Bedtime Math Pajama Party at 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.  We’ll enjoy snacks, wacky math problems, and a math toy called pentominoes you can take home.  This is a registered program and is for children ages 6-9.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover
What kind of mischief will your stuffed animal get into at the Stuffed Animal Sleepover?  Children ages 4-7 will leave their stuffie, on Wednesday, April 8th from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., to spend the night at the library.  The children will pick up their toy friend the next day at a Snack Time on Thursday, April 9th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. and enjoy a presentation of pictures showing all the fun their animals had during the night! This is a registered event.

Don’t miss Dave DiNaso’s Traveling World of Reptiles!  Come see an entertaining, up-close animal show!  Audience members may even pet the fascinating creatures.  Learn what reptiles make good pets and what ones do not. Drop in until the limit of 90 is reached on Thursday, April 9, at 2:00 – 2:45 p.m.  This program is for all ages, but preschoolers must be with an adult.

Scavenger Hunt

10:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m.
For all ages; preschoolers with an adult.  Drop in.
