Look what you did!

I just received the following message from the sponsors of the Students Rebuild Literacy Challenge that some of our patrons participated in by making bookmarks:

Hello Students Rebuild Teams!

Thank you so much for your participation in the Literacy Challenge!

We’ve just finished cataloging and registering team names to the thousands and thousands of bookmarks we received over the last year, and we cannot offer enough gratitude for your efforts, connectivity and creativity! We are always impressed by the thoughtfulness and energy teams put into their learning and creating; from wood to duct tape to canvas and paper – your bookmarks are diverse and lovely and we couldn’t be more thankful for your participation.

Because of your hard work, Save the Children’s Literacy Boost students in Peru, Nepal and Mali will now have improved access to libraries and books as they continue their journey as lifelong readers. The empathy and small, creative and collective actions of teams all over the world has made this possible – thank you again!

We hope you will join us for our next Challenge launching on Monday, September 21st – stay tuned!

Very best,

-Team Students Rebuild

This organization offered to donate money for every handmade bookmark they received.
