lego bricksCome to our Toy Exchange today (Sunday, December 4).  If you received vouchers for donating toys last week, you can choose toys from 2-3 p.m.  The room will be open to all from 3-3:30.  All toy choices are first come, first served while supplies last.

Storytimes continue this week.

This Tuesday, Minecraft will not meet so kids can attend the Tween Hour of Code.  Sign up to learn coding basics in this one-hour introductory class.  Children must be in grades 4-6 and have a Fountaindale library card.

Escape from Mr. Fountaindale’s Library

After the children say “Goodbye,” their stuffies go on wild escapades overnight at the library. All is revealed when they are reunited the next morning. Registration required.

Video games: more choices, less waiting

IMG_0904[1]We recently moved the children’s video game collection to a different part of the room.  Why?  This section has more space, so now we can put ALL the games out at once.  Unless something was just returned, you won’t have to wait for library staff to get your game from the back.

We’ve moved some other things in the department, too.  Holiday DVDs (currently, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas) are where the video games used to be, to the side of the rest of the movies and TV shows.

Magazines and new nonfiction are in the World Park near the giant chess set.

Reference books are in the Secret Garden near the JSERIES section.
